Storm Damage in Jacksonville? Don’t Call Your Insurer First.

Call us first — the line is answered 24/7 after a storm. We will document what actually happened up there, so your claim is built on evidence before an adjuster ever sets a ladder against your house.

The first 48 hours

Stay off the roof. Photograph anything you can see from the ground, including debris in the yard and any water inside. Put a bucket under active drips and move what you can out of the way. Then call us for a free inspection.

Do not let anyone who knocked on your door that afternoon start work before your insurer has seen it. That is how claims get denied.

What damage actually looks like

Wind damage is often invisible from the ground. A shingle can be lifted and reseated by the wind, breaking its adhesive seal without moving out of place — it looks fine and it is no longer waterproof. Hail bruises the mat under the granules. Both need someone on the roof to find.

Questions we get asked

Will filing a claim raise my premium?

A weather claim is treated differently from an at-fault claim, but rate impact varies by carrier and by your claim history. We can tell you what we see on the roof; your agent is the right person to ask about premium impact.

Do I have to use the contractor my insurance recommends?

No. In Florida you choose your own contractor. A carrier may recommend one from their preferred network, but the decision is yours.
