K-Style: The Standard, and Why It Moves More Water

The squared, ogee-fronted profile on most homes in Jacksonville. For the same nominal width it carries noticeably more water than a round gutter, because the cross-section is closer to a rectangle.

The practical case

More capacity per inch of width, a flat back that fastens tight to the fascia, and a decorative front edge that reads a little like crown moulding from the ground. It is the default for good reasons.
