Section 04SMS / Text Messaging Program

This section specifically addresses our SMS text messaging program and is required by mobile carrier regulations.

Program description

When you provide us with your mobile phone number — by submitting a form on our website, requesting an estimate, signing a contract, or otherwise giving us your number in connection with our services — you consent to receive non-marketing transactional and conversational SMS text messages from Diversity Roofing related to your roofing project. Examples include appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, inspection results, photo updates from the field, proposal and invoice notifications, insurance claim updates, and direct communication with our office staff and field representatives.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your project status and your interactions with our team.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Diversity Roofing does not charge for the SMS service itself; however, your wireless carrier's standard messaging rates apply.

Opt-out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and you will not receive further SMS messages from us. If you want to opt back in, you may reply START or contact us directly.

Help

For assistance with our SMS program, reply HELP to any of our text messages, email us at Jacksonville@Diversity-Roofing.com, or call us at (904) 979-0556.

Carriers

Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, Cricket, and most other U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No sharing of mobile information for marketing. No mobile information, phone numbers, or SMS opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information we collect related to text messaging — including phone numbers, opt-in status, and message content — is used solely to communicate with you about our services and is not sold, rented, leased, or shared with any third party for their own marketing, advertising, or promotional use.

The only third parties with whom we share SMS-related information are the service providers that help us send and receive text messages on our behalf (such as Roofr and underlying telecommunications providers), and only to the extent necessary for them to deliver those messages to you. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.

Section 05How We Share Your Information

Outside of the SMS program described above, we may share your personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers and subcontractors. We share information with vendors who help us run our business, such as our CRM platform (Roofr), QuickBooks for accounting, our material supplier (ABC Supply), payment processors, manufacturer warranty registration (Owens Corning, GAF, Tamko), licensed subcontractors performing work on your property, and similar partners. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us.
  • Insurance carriers and adjusters. When you engage us for insurance restoration work, we share project documentation, photos, measurements, and supplements with your insurance carrier and their adjusters as required to process your claim.
  • Legal and regulatory requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our legal rights, the safety of our team, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers. If Diversity Contracting LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, sell, or trade your personal information — including your phone number, SMS opt-in status, email address, or any other identifier — to data brokers, marketers, advertisers, or any other third party for their own use.

Section 06How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include access controls, secure software platforms, encrypted transmission of payment information, and limiting access to personal information to employees and contractors who need it to do their jobs. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 07How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal, tax, warranty, licensing, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our contracts. Project records, insurance documentation, and warranty records may be retained for the full duration of the manufacturer warranty plus any applicable legal retention period. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

Section 08Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and contractual retention obligations
  • Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
  • Opt out of marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email
  • Decline cookies through your browser settings

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Jacksonville@Diversity-Roofing.com or (904) 979-0556. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Florida residents and residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights under applicable state law. We honor those rights to the extent they apply to you.

Our services are intended for property owners and adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Section 11Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, such as manufacturer warranty registration pages, financing partners, or social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Section 12Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
